#BringBackOurGirls – Senator Zanna reveals that Chibok Girls are Being Raped on Camera, Watch The Interview

Senator Zanna - July 2014
Today Thursday 3rd July 2014, makes it day 80 since the school girls in the Chibok area were abducted by the Boko Haram sect.
In an interview with Sahara ReportersSenator Khalifa Ahmed Zanna of Borno Central said that the girls are being raped while someone films them.
The interview was recorded on the 24th of June in New York, but was released today.
The Senator also spoke about the condition of the girls, conspiracy theories surrounding the Islamist militant group, and that the President needs to change priorities.
On the Harrowing conditions he believes the Chibok Girls are Facing
“Actually the information I’m getting, some of them are very disturbing. Although I don’t want to mention but they are just raping the girls on camera and even showing them on video, releasing it to the public.
Somebody told me that they were shown being raped, and in turn, it is the girl who was raped that came out kneeling down and begging the man to be patient. Do you know the reason why? They said when they rape them they shoot them.
Therefore the girl after being raped, she curled down to the man, kneeling down and begging him to please be patient. So disturbing.
And although I didn’t see the video, the person narrated to me, he said he had the video, and he was narrating to me, and look at the situation. And then the other scenario is that the Boko Haram are now out of funds, they are not getting enough food.
So they are going from one village to another, taking the little the villagers had, and going away. In fact most of the villages are almost moved out of their villages and moved to cities or gone into the neighbouring countries. So more or less they don’t have any chance of getting food. So I don’t know what they’re going to do, if food is not available are they going to sacrifice to give it to the girls.
And then, the other information I have, because you know the kidnap is a continuous process which they have been doing before the 200 and after the 200. So in their position, there are up to 500 or over 500 women who are being taken from the streets, on the main roads where they are traveling, or they go to the villages and collect them; all kinds of abductions.”

'Obanikoro, PDP aiding Boko Haram' - Bola Tinubu fires back

'Obanikoro, PDP aiding Boko Haram' - Bola Tinubu fires back1'Obanikoro, PDP aiding Boko Haram' - Bola Tinubu fires back2

National leader of the APC and former governor of Lagos state, Bola Tinubu has reacted to the allegations made against him by the Minister of Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro yesterday July 2nd. Obanikoro in a series of tweets had alleged that Tinubu's friends created the Boko Haram mess being experienced in Nigeria today.

In a statement released last night through his media aide, Tinubu refuted the allegations, saying it is the PDP and Obanikoro that are aiding Boko Haram. Find his statement after the cut...
"The defence budget to fight Boko Haram and terrorism has become a conduit pipe for the ruling party PDP just as the likes of Obanikoro continue to use Boko Haram as a tool of blackmail against the opposition. This time , just like it failed in the past, it will not stick. It will not stand. It is the PDP-led government in which Obanikoro is an active and pliable agent that is perpetrating the insurgency for pecuniary benefits. This government has no shame. It lacks the moral authority to point fingers at individuals or the opposition. The country is literally on tenterhooks and all the PDP can do is lie to Nigerians in order to cover up its failures.
“Obanikoro’s allegation that Tinubu and his friends in the opposition created Boko Haram is both fallacious and untenable. It is the kind of fable that can only come  out of the mouth of someone who is delusional. One whose intoxication with power is not in  doubt. This allegation is both unreasonable and unsustainable, but not surprising coming from the person it came from. Bola Tinubu and the APC have been on record repeatedly condemning killings and bombings by Boko Haram and proffering solutions to the menace.
“The PDP is preparing the grounds for its next round of hounding opposition leaders, militarising our cities and violating the democratic rights of Nigerians to move freely. This is political Boko Haram of which the PDP is the Chief Architect.
“In Ekiti, we saw a dress rehearsal of the impunity and near brigandage of this government and its agents. Nigerians are urged to be vigilant before a few desperate persons steal our voices, our rights, our liberties and freedoms.”

Oscar Pistorious Suffering from Depression & PTSD – Psych Report

Oscar Pistorius' Murder Trial
Following a 30-day court-ordered psychiatric evaluation, results are said to reveal that Oscar Pistorious is suffering from post traumatic stress disorder and depression.
According to one of the psychologists who conducted the evaluation,”Pistorious needs continuing psychiatric care or he could become suicidal.”
The evaluation was carried out so that a team of psychiatrists and psychologists could determine whether the paralympian was criminally responsible for shooting and killing his girlfriend at the time, Reeva Steenkamp.
A few days ago, it was reported that the verdict of the evaluation was that Pistorius did not have a mental disorder when he killed Steenkamp.
However, other results of the examination have been revealed, which indicate that although the paralympian was aware of right and wrong during the crime, he was suffering from depression and PTSD, according to abc News .

Wole Soyinka: Christianity & Islam are Foreign Impositions

Wole Soyinka on Channels TV - June 2014 -01
Nigerian acclaimed author, playwright and Nobel Laureate Wole Soyinka who turns 80 in two weeks, speaks to Reuters about the Islamist militant sect Boko Haram, as well as religion.
Soyinka in his Abeokuta home told Tim Cocks that Nigeria is suffering greater carnage at the hands of Boko Haram. He also said their mission is far worse than the Biafra war from 1967 to 1970 which saw lots of bloodshed.
We have never been confronted with butchery on this scale, even during the civil war,” he begins.
“There were atrocities which were committed, but you never had such a regular, getting to a near predictable level of carnage. I think this is what is terrifying.
There’s no war zone. There’s no battle line. It’s everywhere. Not just in the North East for instance, it’s here, right here where we are sitting.
It’s right down in Lagos, even though it has not manifested itself.”
On if Boko Haram can make Nigeria split, he stated that, “I think ironically it’s less likely now. For the first time, a sense of belonging is predominating. It’s either we stick together now or we break up, and we know it would be not in a pleasant way.”
Soyinka also blamed successive governments for allowing religious fanaticism to undermine Nigeria’s broadly secular constitution, starting with former President Olusegun Obasanjo allowing some states to declare Sharia law in the early 2000s.

“When the spectre of Sharia first came up, for political reasons, this was allowed to hold, instead of the president defending the constitution.” he said.

He argued that modern Africa has lots its shape and sees both Christianity and Islam as foreign impositions.
“We cannot ignore the negative impact which both have had on African society. They are imperialist forces: intervening, arrogant. Modern Africa has been distorted.”

‘B’Haram, not a Muslim war agency’ – Oloyede

‘B’Haram, not a Muslim war agency’ – Oloyede

The Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, on Monday in Abuja, stated that the activities of the Boko Haram Islamic should not be misinterpreted as a declaration of war by Muslims against Christians or the Federal Government.
The Secretary-General of NSCIA, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, stated this at the plenary while responding to a goodwill message expressed by the Christian delegates to Muslims in commemoration of the Ramadan season.
Oloyede, who is also a member of the Naftional Conference, said on behalf of the Muslim community in Nigeria, he accepted with gratitude “the message of goodwill expressed by our Christian brothers and sisters.”
The Bishop of Kafanchan and delegate at the conference, Joseph Bagobiri, had in a motion of urgent national importance, congratulated the Muslims on the Ramadan while also calling for religious harmony and peaceful co-existence.
According to him, the sighting of the moon last Saturday marked the beginning of the month of Ramadan for Muslims, particularly in Nigeria, which he described as”a period we traditionally know to be one of prayer, fasting and arms giving.”
He said, “I wish to on behalf of the team representing the Christian Association of Nigeria, and indeed the entire Christian, salute and show solidarity to our Muslim brothers and sisters as they embark on this great and intensely spiritual exercise.”
Bagobiri added that it was not just by coincidence that the conference started during the Christians Lent and would be ending during Muslims Ramadan.
“God must be saying something profound to us as nation: that we must repent and change from the part that lead to disaster, self-destruction and embrace that part that leads to peace, prosperity and harmonious co-existence as a people”, he stressed

Federal Government Hires A PR Firm For $1.2 million To Help In Boko Haram Fight

Federal Government Hires A PR Firm For $1.2 million To Help In Boko Haram Fight

In the most ridiculous move ever, the Nigerian government has hired a Washington PR firm to help deal with the Boko Haram scourge.
Although the Nigerian government has been unable to contain the group’s string of attacks or bring home 270 schoolgirls the group abducted in April, it just inked a $1.2 million contract with DC powerhouse PR firm Levick to boost its perception around the world, the Hill reported.
Under the terms of the contract, the firm will try to put a shine on the image of President Goodluck Jonathan’s government, who is up for re-election in February.
The firm will seek to shape “the international and local media narrative” around Nigeria’s “efforts to find and safely return the girls abducted by the terrorist organization Boko Haram,” according to the contract.
The firm will help “mobilize international support in fighting Boko Haram as part of the greater war on terror.”
Additionally, the firm will publicize “President Goodluck Jonathan Administration’s past, present and future priority to foster transparency, democracy and the rule of law throughout Nigeria.”
The Nigerian government has already gotten some high-profile publicity that spotlighted its crisis — a tweet by First Lady Michelle Obama holding a sign with the hashtag “#Bring Back Our Girls.”
Jonathan cut short a trip to Equatorial Guinea for an African summit after a bomb blast in the Nigerian capital of Abuja on Wednesday killed 21 people. Extremists kidnapped 91 more people over the weekend, the Associated Press reported.
Lanny Davis, an executive vice president at the firm, said, “For me, after talking to him, the priority for President Jonathan beyond any is finding and bringing home the girls.”

New York Magazine Criticizes President Jonathan

New York Magazine Criticizes President Jonathan

Criticism for President Goodluck Jonathan has come from quite an unexpected source. The New York Post heavily criticized President Goodluck Jonathan’s Washington Post ‘Op-Ed’ editorial. Their rebuke, titled ‘Goodluck Nigeria,’ took aim at what they called ‘newspaper diplomacy.’
In a story that came to light in the Washington-based, and Congress focused weekly magazine called THE HILL, it was revealed that Jonathan’s administration had hired a PR Firm for $1.2 million to help clean up the government’s image (Check here for full details). Within days of that disclosure the Nigerian president wrote the Washington Post Op-Ed that painted a sympathetic portrait of his ongoing ‘quiet fight’ with the Boko Haram.
Here is the New York Post’s scathing editorial below:
When in April the Islamist group Boko Haram abducted nearly 300 girls from their school in northeast Nigeria, it commanded global attention and sparked a #BringBackOurGirls movement.
But the girls are still missing. The campaign seems to have moved from hashtag demands to newspaper column diplomacy. On Friday, The Washington Post carried an op-ed by no less than the president of Nigeria himself, Goodluck Jonathan.
In it he wrote, “Something positive can come out of [this situation] in Nigeria.” He says, “Most important, the return of the Chibok girls, but also new international cooperation to deny havens to terrorists and destroy their organizations.”
And he says he’s going to ask the UN General Assembly to establish and coordinate a system to share intelligence, etc.
Remember, this is the same leader whose military initially claimed it had freed the girls, whose wife’s anger was directed at Nigerians protesting the government’s inaction rather than the kidnappers and who presides over Africa’s largest economy and fourth-largest armed forces.
Meanwhile, this week Boko Haram kidnapped another 90 Nigerian children and set off a massive bomb in the heart of the nation’s capital.
Apparently the government’s secret plan to get the girls back — which President Jonathan says he has to “remain quiet about” — isn’t much impressing them.

“My Heart Aches”, Jonathan Pens Article on Missing Chibok Girls

Jonathan - May 2014 -01

Has the Nigerian government reduced its effort to find the missing school girls abducted in the Chibok area of Borno in April?
According to the commander-in-chief, absolutely not.
President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan wrote an article for the Washington Post about the Federal Government’s effort to find the girls abducted by Boko Haram.
GEJ who confesses he has remained quiet about efforts by the Nigerian military, police and investigators says, “I am deeply concerned, however, that my silence as we work to accomplish the task at hand is being misused by partisan critics to suggest inaction or even weakness.
My silence has been necessary to avoid compromising the details of our investigation. But let me state this unequivocally: My government and our security and intelligence services have spared no resources, have not stopped and will not stop until the girls are returned home and the thugs who took them are brought to justice. On my orders, our forces have aggressively sought these killers in the forests of northern Borno state, where they are based. They are fully committed to defending the integrity of their country.”
Also a parent, he says “My heart aches for the missing children and their families…I know how awfully this must hurt.”
He sheds light on thousands of people who have been killed and affected by the Islamist terrorist group since 2010, and that the FG will press on, “We will not succumb to the will of terrorists.”
In September, GEJ plans to urge the United Nations General Assembly to establish an External Intelligence Response Unit to help share security information on threats in West Africa, and if needed special forces and law enforcement to confront terrorism whenever it occurs.
He also calls for unity between Christians and Muslims as well as understanding.
President Jonathan finishes optimistically saying, “Something positive can come out of the situation in Nigeria: most important, the return of the Chibok girls,  but also new international cooperation to deny havens to terrorists and destroy their organizations wherever they are — whether in the forests of Nigeria, on the streets of New York or sanctuaries in Iraq or Pakistan. Those who value humanity , civilization and the innocence of children can do no less.”
