For weeks now there have been
speculation about which entertainers Nigerian telecoms giant Globacom
will sign on as new brand ambassadors.
NET can now confirm that some of today’s most gifted acts are on the list, including Omawumi, Waje, Flavour, Bez and Lynxxx.
While Omawumi, Waje, Lynxxx and Flavour
have already been showcased with GLO’s number Portability campaign,
others like Bez and Tiwa Savage are expected to follow, according to
sources familiar with the deal.
It’s the first time Glo is signing
multiple musicians at the same time. Insiders told NET, yesterday, that
the Mike Adenuga-owned company is resting their deals with Nollywood
actors; instituting a new policy that favours pop stars, believed to be
more influential within the youth segment, than their Nollywood
counterparts.
