Straight off his much talked about marriage and honeymoon in Dubai, UAE, Nigeria’s pop icon, 2face Idibia is finally embarking on his much anticipated Campus Connect: 2face & Friends Tour 2013.
Kicked off on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, the
tour which is targeted at young undergraduates will be happening live
from the campuses of five of Nigeria’s foremost tertiary institutions.
The singer who was decorated with the
special NET Honours at the Nigerian Entertainment Conference last
Friday, wrote on his website, ‘I’m looking forward to my return to
the campus circuit. It’s been a long time. For mainly timing and
availability issues I have been unable to play some of these venues in
like 8 years or more so for me, this is big deal. It’s going to be an
emotional return to these campuses. I have received and still enjoy
massive support from these spots. They are my personal people.’
Tour dates: University of Lagos on May
7; University of Benin (May 9); University of Port Harcourt (May 14);
Institute of Management Technology (IMT) Enugu (May 16); and University
of Abuja (May 23).
The concert which will be hosted by Andre Blaze will also feature friends like Sound Sultan, Dammy Krane, Rocksteady, Vector, Sasha P, Seyi Shey, Timi Dakolo, Capital F.E.M.I, Solid Star and a host of others.
