BEAUTY TIPS: Do It Yourself - Eye Brow Basics

By DAZEITA BEAUTY

Eyebrows play a huge role in our overall appearance; it can instantly lift drooping eyes, make an older person look younger and vice-versa. It is definitely one of my favorite facial features because anyone can achieve an already put together look with just perfectly shaped brows.

Beautiful and full arches are a classic! The look frames your gaze, sharpens your face and adds more confidence to your look. Although not all of us are blessed with such chiselled brows, we can equally achieve the look by filling sparse brows or tweezing/trimming overly full (bushy) brows. Don't be afraid to fake it (;
Since eyebrows are unique to each person, and sometimes aren't symmetrical,  try not to force yours into an unnatural shape; it is important to let your natural shape which is probably close to optimal for your face be your guide, anything too drastic can look artificial.
Using a brow comb, brush your brows in the direction of growth to determine the parts to clean up and intensify.

A. Draw an imaginary straight line from the outer sides of the ball of your nose to the inner corner of your brows. That is where eyebrows should start and where you should begin filling in, especially if you're new to shaping.
B. Place a ruler (or something  straight like an eye pencil)  vertically at the outer edge of your iris, this brings you to a section of your brow which is going to be the "peak" or highest point of your arch.
C. The outer brow should taper off to a point that intersects with an imaginary line drawn from the outer nostril past the outer edge of the eye, (and you thought geometry wouldn't be useful later in life! Lol).
Trim off areas where you don't want hair, usually underneath the outer edge (around/at the brow bone) and over the top of the inner corner of the brows. This will give it a nice natural shape.
 Now, use a sharp brow pencil to fill in scanty areas and shade in the skin where hair should grow Select a pencil which is a shade lighter than your natural brows (NEVER use a black pencil), fill in your brows using short strokes in the direction of hair growth.
 You gotta be careful tho 'cause you sooo don't wanna have brows looking like these below;
Too Thin Eye Brows
Too Thick Eye Brows

Tips:
•If you want to preview a new brow look before you commit to plucking, use White Pencil to color over the places you intend to trim/pluck out.
•Beware of over plucking, as too-thin brows can actually age you!
•The hair and brow color should match pretty closely.
•Keep your brows healthy and conditioned by applying  olive, castor oil or plain petroleum jelly (other oils work too) at night before you go to bed.

my before and after "brow look" not so bad! :D
