Nollywood star Stella Damasus turns 35




The pretty actress/singer may not exactly look it, but she is indeed 35 years old today – five years shy of 40!
Born on April 24, 1978 in Asaba, Delta State, the actress who grew up in Benin City, Edo State has over the years been a prominent face in the Nigerian movie industry.
The mother-of-two was widowed at 26 when she lost her first husband, Jaiye Aboderin in December 2004.

Her second shot at marriage to Emeka Nzeribe, didn’t go well as the union ended shortly after.
With about 20 years experience in professional acting and over 50 movies to her credit, the Theatre Arts graduate of the University of Lagos has won several awards plus a 2009 ‘Best Actress in a Leading Role’ nomination at the African Movie Academy Awards, (AMAA).
Stella is also involved with several charity organisations as ambassador for NDLEA, Women for Africa, Project ALERT, National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), SOS Children’s Village, Splash Network in Cameroun while also running the Stella Damasus Art Foundation training young people in both music and drama.
