Actor, Producer and Director Fred Amata
is counting the days to his big day as he turns 50. Friends and
colleagues alike will be partaking in a flurry of events lined up to
celebrate the Nollywood icon. The line up of events began on the 4th of
May 2013 with the City People Media Group as they hosted Fred at ‘A Night with Fred Amata’ at Abibiz restaurant & lounge, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The line up of events will continue with a football match titled “Battle of the Stars”
which will include a celebrity mash up of comedians, singers, OAP’s and
actors against the 1994 Nation Cup winners Ex-International. The after
party will be sponsored by Hennessey and the half time entertainment
will be courtesy Timaya.
Guest are requested to send their names as they would want it on their jersey and number choosing from 0-99 to fredamataat50@gmail.com
as jerseys will be printed for all celebrity participants. It should be
of note that certain numbers are automatically seeded; No 1, No.10,
NO.9 and especially NO.12 which is reserved for Gov. Babatunde Raji Fashola who would be the Player of Honour on the Day.
The events will also include a white tie
dinner and red carpet event which will showcase Fred Amata and other
stars in a theatre performance of excerpts from Fred Agbeyegbe‘s stage play: “The King Must Dance Naked”. The celebration will conclude with an all star visit to charity to spread gifts and goodwill.
