MTV Video Music Awards Moving to Brooklyn

The MTV Video Music Awards are Brooklyn bound.
For the 30th anniversary of the cable network's music awards show, the VMAs will be held at Barclays Center on Aug. 25. It will be the first major awards show televised from Brooklyn.

MTV used its social media accounts on Instagram and Twitter today (March 25) to provide hints that the awards were headed to the recently opened venue. Photographs of the VMA Moonman were posted throughout the day showing it making the journey from last year's venue, Staples Center in Los Angeles, to Brooklyn. Included were shots at LAX and JFK
In the last nine years, the VMAs have been held in seven different venues in five different cities. The last three years have been in L.A., last year at Staples and, for the two years before that, Nokia Theater. When broadcast from New York, the last time was 2009, it has been at Radio City Music Hall, which has hosted the awards show 11 times, and the Metropolitan Opera House, which was host twice.
Last year's show took a significant hit in the ratings, dropping to 6.13 million viewers after a record-setting 12.4 million viewers tuned in in 2011, according to Nielsen. Prior to last year, the show had a strong of five consecutive years of ratings increases.

WIZKID TO RETURN TO FORMER LABEL E.M.E MUSIC IF ALL GOES AS PLANNED

If everything goes according to plan, Wizkid will soon be returning to his former music label, EME Music Group, this is according to a reliable industry source. The source revealed to Linda Ikeji exclusively that Wizkid and EME bosses have been going back and forth for the last couple of weeks through their lawyers trying to agree on new terms of them working together again.

"Wizkid leaving EME was just his way of pushing the bosses at the label to take him seriously and increase his earning percentage. When he joined EME he wasn't a star but then he became a mega star and was making a lot of money for the label and they still didn't increase his earning percentage so he took a walk. Now they are working on a new contract that will favour Wizkid." The source said

I hear in the new contract being drafted, EME will not take a dime from Wizkid's international deals. When they start working together again.. Now thats whats up!

Th Queen Beyonce is back... Drops new single BOW DOWN

Even though she’s not been out of the news, Beyonce has technically not been in the music scene (after releasing her fourth solo album ’4′ and giving birth to her first child Blue Ivy).

Well, Mrs Carter is back and ready to reclaim her throne as the queen of the game, she isn’t taking hostages too, not with the release of her new single ‘Bow down’. Bey released the single hours ago on her Tumblr account

The two part song (the latter part switches to ‘I been on’), produced by G.O.O.D Music producer Hit-Boy sounds warning to those who’ve been heavy in the scene since Queen  Bey’s absence.

‘I know when you were little girls/you dreamt of being in my world/Don’t forget it, Don’t forget it, respect that, bow down b****hs‘, Bey sings over the syrupy instrumental.
