The Official Royal Announcement of
the birth of Prince of Cambridge, The son of The Duke & Duchess of
Cambridge At Buckingham Palace, 22.07.2013.
History happened during the hottest summer that the UK has seen in years, on the 22nd July
2013 at exactly 4:24pm when Kate Middleton(HRH Catherine, Duchess of
Cambridge) gave birth to an 8 pounds and 6 ounces baby boy(Prince of
Cambridge) who is the 3rd heir to the throne.Tourists, British citizens and press from around the world gathered in front of Buckingham Palace and St. Mary’s Hospital in Paddington awaiting the arrival of the future monarch.
The press had been camped outside of the hospital from the 1st July. After what seemed like the longest wait, Kate was admitted into hospital at 6am on the 22nd of July (exactly one week past her known due date). Following suit with the birth of her husband, Prince William and his brother Prince Harry, the baby was delivered in the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, London. Kate delivered the future king naturally.
The official royal announcement was made at exactly 8:49 pm in a very simple but very traditional manner in front of the palace. Kate will remain in the hospital until the 23rd of July with the baby.
Congratulations to The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on the arrival of their baby boy.
