There are unconfirmed reports radio and reality TV show host, Ikponmwosa Osakioduwa, popularly known as IK might be leaving Big Brother Africa (BBA) soon.
A source revealed to NET that IK and Multichoice are yet to officially close their negotiations, and depending on the outcome of the negotiations, IK may either remain or quit as the host of the show. A new edition of the show is already on the way, with production and content details in final stages.
No official was forthcoming on the true state of things, but multiple sources say ‘it’s more likely he’s leaving’.
NET could not reach IK by telephone as his mobile number was switched off. But he responded to NET’s email enquiries with ‘No Comment’.
Spokesperson for Multichoice, Segun Fayose denied the reports saying that there was no element of truth to IK quiting Big Brother. ‘The report is untrue and unsubstantial. Please disregard any report that is not coming directly from us’, Fayose stated.
IK, who’s also a presenter and executive at Rhythm FM in Lagos, started hosting the reality series in September 2009 taking over from former Channel O presenter, Kabelo Ngakane. The BBA show being beamed to millions of viewers across the continent shot IK to continental spotlight.
